Points middle finger! Customers cannot park their cars at the location, the staff ask everyone to go park accros to street to a public parking. What kind of rental place does that?
They cancel my reservation and store was closed then I had to find a different U-Haul store. Overall the service is great and the staff is excellent. I been a long time customer of u-haul specially the automotive trailers , rexdale ave location was on the opposite side of the city : but i did agree lo pick up location : once i did arrive with confirmation the lady ask me about "emergency " number in case they have to located me , i gladely provided my Home! The lady told if i call this number right now??
Somebody will answer?? And i did say yes!

She procceded to ask me : who was going to answer the phone??? I told her my wife!! Then she ask whats my wife Name??? She dialed the number to a huge surprise she ask if she could rent the equipment with this number in file??? Never the less she had all my personal information including credit card!

I did express to the lady that i been a u-haul loyal customer for many years and no body question my ingormation??? The equipment was a 24 hours rental! I broughted back 6 hours earlier once the person checked in he ask me to do a light check??? I also complied and said to him what if a light bulb burnt out??
I have to pay for it??? I did self service check in and I was told one price I just received an email and there is a fuelling charge an extra kilometres added onto it I submitted photos of the mileage and everything but now the mileage is different by almost 50 miles. There is a lot of disorganization. The people at the front are very slow.
Find a U-Haul Location
It took me 40 minutes to get my rental even though I had a booking and only 2 people were in front of me. Return took 40 minutes as well. He was just absent for 15 minutes when I came. The lineup outside was already long with people waiting and it took a further 25 minutes to get out of there.
Spending 1 hour and 20 minutes at the location for a 2 hour rental is ridiculous. The vehicle itself was excellent though. We had to wait 1 hrs to get it even we booked it before going there. Worst and slow customer service. Those ladies were so rude. Not enough employees working the front desk. Very long 20 minute wait to pick up the van with only one person working.
We were the first ones n the store. Have smaller trucks that can be dropped off in other cities. Stop telling people different things. Absolutely would not recommend. The location did not have the furniture dolly that was included in my order, and was required for my use of the rental van. In addition, I filled up the Van with 7 L of fuel at the Husky Gas station across the road from the rental location. I drove only 25 KM. Although I made it clear that I had filled up with gas prior to returning the vehicle and had proof, they did not attempt to resolve the issue and simply charged my credit card.
I will be disputing the transaction as a fraudulent charge and reporting this company's business practices to the Better Business Bureau. Very positive experience - especially in comparison to some other Toronto U-Haul locations. Thank you! The U-Haul system wasn't working well. So the pickup process was sluggish. However, U-Haul finally did something very smart. The rearview camera. Lady in black-hair was so rude and mean-spirited. She shamed for being late and shamed if I didn't return the truck on time. What the hell!? I'm the customer; I'm paying for the service. Make a policy for late shows-up.
Charge a penalty or something, but be very explicit when booking. U-haul should not rely on customers returning equipment on time. Same Equipment should not be cooked back-to-back with no lags. They also take forever to check-in, Uhaul should learn from Avis, Hertz or National car rentals.
Check your receipt throughly after returning the vehicle. In my case I was hit by unwarranted extra charges. Reservation was wrong and not ready. Had to get a cab to another location. They told me I was wrong and read the confirmation email wrong but refused to see my confirmation email. When I arrived there, they told me that my reservation was at another location far.
Uhaul needs to train the reps in the store especially if they affiliated with another business so that their is no miscommunication. That also being if their is a new system that is fairly new, the reps should be updated if possible. The worst experience ever.
Manager doesn't know how to resolve problems and talk to customers.
Our car was full of dirt when picked up without our knowledge, and when return, they wanted to charge us for cleaning. Do not recommend this location. We rent trucks from many places, this was the first time that happened. My experience was horrible and just totally unprofessional. The vehicle was extremely dirty and so smelly. The staff didn't even bother to remove cigarette butts inside the driver room. Everything was good. Too bad this location is closing by the end of October. It's convenient for people who live in Toronto west end.
I showed up at the location and it was closed, called customer service and they had to call the manager to find out where they were and they showed up 45 minutes late and gave a different reason to me when they arrived then what they told customer service. Spent an absurd amount on gas for the 40k I drove.
They gave me a truck with a bent back gate lock which got stuck at the top, which meant I got the truck for one trip before i had to return it, ended up going to get a discount later that evening to finish the move because the person working told me to call customer service when I went back to talk to them about it. Waste of money and extremely disappointing level of service. The automated process using your smart phone takes way too long and I had to sit and wait over 10 minutes for "approval" process.
Thankfully the staff onsite were able to help and and get me on my way, quickly. I tried to log into the system 2 times both times got cannot verify virtually. I called support sfte rthe first. Time and they said I should be able to try again an ditll. Go through. Called after the second failure and was told my account is not working and need to speak with a third rep. After the third rep told me my account is locked and I need to wait hours I asked to speak to a manager who was able to verify while I held her on the phone while using the system.
Wasted so much time and if I hadn't escalated things I'd be stuck looking around. Will use zipcar or enterprise or something next time. I was told there was half a thank of gas in the truck when I rented it.
